Ingredients

Dough:

  • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 3 cups all-purpose or “00” flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Filling:

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • Optional: ½ cup cooked sausage or ¼ cup sliced prosciutto

  • Optional: ½ cup sautéed spinach or mushrooms

Other:

  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yeast and warm water. Let sit until foamy (5–10 mins).

  4. Divide dough into 4 balls. Roll into circles.

  5. Add filling to half of each circle. Fold over and seal edges.

  6. Brush with egg wash. Cut small slits on top.

  7. Bake at 475°F for 12–15 minutes.

  8. Let rest and serve with marinara.

Notes
