  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 appetizer servings 1x

Description

A flavorful party favorite that combines the best of tacos and pizza, perfect for game days, potlucks, or family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 cup refried beans (optional)

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey or chicken)

  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or Mexican cheese blend

  • 1 cup diced tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

  • 1/2 cup diced red onion

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)

  • Sour cream, salsa, guacamole, jalapeño slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out pizza dough on a greased baking sheet or pizza pan and brush with olive oil. Pre-bake for 7–8 minutes until lightly golden.

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease, add taco seasoning and water, and simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  • Spread refried beans over the pre-baked crust. Evenly layer cooked taco meat on top.

  • Sprinkle cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese over the meat. Bake for another 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Let pizza cool slightly. Add fresh toppings: tomatoes, black olives, red onion, lettuce, and cilantro.

  • Slice into squares or wedges. Serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole on the side.

Notes

  • Pre-bake dough to avoid a soggy crust.

  • Fresh toppings should be added after baking for the best texture.

  • For vegetarian version, use seasoned beans or plant-based meat.

  • Can be frozen without fresh toppings and baked later.
