Description

One-pan perfection packed with savory sausage, tender orzo, and vibrant veggies in a luscious, flavor-loaded sauce. Quick, comforting, and perfect for busy nights when you still want a little wow!

Ingredients

  • Italian sausage (sliced or crumbled) ????

  • Orzo pasta ????

  • Onion (diced) ????

  • Garlic (minced) ????

  • Bell peppers or spinach ????????

  • Diced tomatoes (with juice) ????

  • Chicken broth

  • Olive oil ????

  • Parmesan cheese (optional) ????

  • Fresh parsley or basil ????

  • Red pepper flakes (optional) ????️

  • Salt & pepper

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.

  • In the same pan, sauté onion, garlic, and bell peppers or spinach until softened.

  • Stir in the orzo, letting it toast lightly. Add diced tomatoes and broth, bring to a simmer.

  • Return sausage to the pan and cook until orzo is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.

  • Finish with parmesan and fresh herbs, then serve hot straight from the skillet.

Notes

Swap orzo for rice or small pasta if preferred. Use spicy sausage for a kick, or mix in sun-dried tomatoes for extra depth. Leftovers reheat beautifully and make an awesome lunch!
