Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes

  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 cups cooked pasta (elbow or penne)

  • 1/2 cup sour cream or ricotta

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)

  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

  • Add ground beef, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.

  • Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.

  • Combine pasta with meat sauce and sour cream in a large bowl.

  • Transfer mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with shredded cheese.

  • Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.

  • Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
