A light, fresh, and flavorful Italian-inspired sandwich made with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, basil leaves, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze, perfect for quick lunches or summer picnics.
Ingredients

1 fresh baguette or 2 ciabatta rolls

2–3 ripe tomatoes, sliced

8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced

A handful of fresh basil leaves

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1 tbsp balsamic glaze

Salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions

Slice the baguette or rolls lengthwise and lightly toast if desired.

Drizzle the cut sides of the bread with extra virgin olive oil.

Layer fresh mozzarella slices on the bottom half of the bread.

Add slices of ripe tomato on top of the mozzarella.

Sprinkle with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Tear fresh basil leaves and layer them over the tomatoes.

Drizzle balsamic glaze evenly over the filling.

Place the top half of the bread over the ingredients, press gently, slice, and serve immediately.
