Four cheese pizza (also known as Quattro Formaggi) is a rich, creamy, and ultra-cheesy favorite that blends the bold flavors of four different cheeses into one indulgent pie. Perfect for cheese lovers and an easy gourmet option for homemade pizza night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ball (12–14 oz) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce or garlic cream sauce (optional, or skip for a white pizza)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 cup crumbled gorgonzola or blue cheese

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup shredded fontina or provolone cheese

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing crust)

  • Fresh basil or arugula (optional for topping)

  • All-purpose flour or cornmeal (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.

  • Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to a 10–12 inch circle. Transfer to parchment paper.

  • If using, spread a light layer of pizza or garlic cream sauce on the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.

  • Evenly distribute mozzarella, gorgonzola, Parmesan, and fontina cheese over the surface.

  • Brush crust edges with olive oil for a golden finish.

  • Carefully transfer the pizza (on parchment) to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.

  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbling and the crust is golden.

  • Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil or arugula if desired, then slice and serve.
