Description

Tender carrots cooked in a buttery brown sugar glaze. Sweet, savory, and ready in under 20 minutes—perfect for weeknights or holidays.


Ingredients

1 lb carrots, sliced or baby carrots

2 tbsp unsalted butter

2 tbsp brown sugar

½ cup water or broth

¼ tsp salt

Optional: chopped parsley, cinnamon, or orange zest


Instructions

  1. Add carrots and water to skillet. Cover and steam for 6–8 minutes until fork-tender.

  2. Drain remaining water. Add butter, brown sugar, and salt to skillet.

  3. Stir and cook uncovered for 4–5 minutes, until glaze thickens.

  4. Garnish with herbs or spices if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use maple syrup or honey as a sweetener substitute

  • Add cinnamon or citrus for variation

  • Reheats well—store for up to 3 days in fridge
