Ingredients

  • 3 cups corn (fresh, frozen, or canned and drained)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

  • ¾ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan (optional)

  • Chopped chives or parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Whisk in flour and cook 1–2 minutes until bubbling.

  3. Slowly add milk and cream, whisking until smooth and slightly thickened.

  4. Stir in corn, sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–7 minutes.

  5. Add Parmesan (optional) and stir until melted.
