Description

This Crockpot Caramel Apple Dump Cake is the ultimate fall dessert. Layers of apple pie filling, buttery cake mix, and rich caramel cook low and slow into a gooey, golden treat. Just dump, cook, and enjoy—no baking required!


Ingredients

  • 2 cans (21 oz each) apple pie filling

  • ½ to ¾ cup caramel sauce

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

  • ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted or sliced

  • Optional: 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • Optional: chopped nuts for topping


Instructions

  1. Grease a 6-quart Crockpot insert.

  2. Add apple pie filling in an even layer.

  3. Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples.

  4. Sprinkle cinnamon if using.

  5. Evenly sprinkle dry cake mix over the top—do not stir.

  6. Pour melted butter over the cake mix OR lay thin butter slices across the top.

  7. Cover and cook:

    • LOW for 3½ to 4 hours

    • HIGH for 2 to 2½ hours

  8. Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.

  9. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • Use spice cake mix for extra fall flavor.

  • Add crushed pecans or walnuts for crunch.

  • Store leftovers in fridge for up to 4 days.
