Ingredients
-
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved horizontally to make 4 cutlets)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
6 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
3/4 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or dried thyme
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
-
Season chicken cutlets with salt and pepper, then dredge lightly in flour, shaking off excess.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Pour in chicken broth and stir to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
-
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for another 3–4 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
-
Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer gently for 2–3 more minutes to warm through.
-
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot over mashed potatoes, pasta, or rice.
