Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp butter, divided

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-and-half

  • 1/3 cup parmesan, freshly grated

  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

  • 2 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower)

  • Fresh parsley or green onion, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  2. Sear shrimp in 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat until pink, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove.

  3. Lower heat. Add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté 1 minute.

  4. Stir in cream, parmesan, and lemon juice. Simmer until slightly thickened.

  5. Return shrimp to pan and toss in sauce. Cook 1–2 minutes more.

  6. Serve shrimp and sauce over warm rice. Garnish and enjoy.
