Ingredients
-
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved horizontally to make 4 cutlets)
-
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
3 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 cup chicken broth
-
3/4 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for added richness)
-
1 teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)
-
Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish
Instructions
-
Pat the chicken dry, then season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Dredge lightly in flour, shaking off any excess.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
-
Deglaze the pan with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
-
Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan (if using), and additional Cajun seasoning or paprika to taste. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
-
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top. Simmer for 2–3 more minutes until heated through.
-
Garnish with chopped parsley or green onions and serve hot.
