Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds ground beef (80/20 recommended)

  • 1 packet Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix

  • 2 large eggs

  • 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs

  • 3/4 cup milk

  • 1/3 cup ketchup (plus more for topping)

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)

  • Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, onion soup mix, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce if using. Mix gently until just combined.

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a lined baking sheet.

  • Spread additional ketchup on top of the loaf, if desired, for a classic glaze.

  • Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

  • Let the meatloaf rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

  • Serve warm with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, green beans, or a crisp salad.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use ground turkey or chicken and add a tablespoon of olive oil to maintain moisture.

  • Swap breadcrumbs with oats or crushed crackers if preferred.

  • You can make the meatloaf ahead of time and refrigerate before baking, or freeze it for later use.

  • Leftovers make excellent meatloaf sandwiches the next day.
