Description
A sweet and comforting dessert pizza that’s perfect for cozy nights, brunches, or anytime you’re craving something warm, buttery, and full of cinnamon flavor. This easy treat combines a chewy pizza crust with a caramelized cinnamon sugar topping and optional vanilla icing drizzle.
Ingredients
-
1 ball of pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for brushing)
-
¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
-
½ cup granulated sugar
-
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
-
Pinch of salt
Optional Drizzle:
-
½ cup powdered sugar
-
1–2 tablespoons milk or cream
-
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat.
-
Lightly flour your surface and roll out the pizza dough into a 10–12 inch circle or oval, about ¼ inch thick. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza peel.
-
Brush the dough with olive oil or melted butter to promote browning and crispness.
-
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until combined.
-
Spread the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small crust border if desired.
-
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the topping is bubbly. Watch closely near the end to avoid burning.
-
While the pizza bakes, make the optional drizzle by whisking powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
-
Let the pizza cool for 5 minutes after baking. Drizzle with icing if using.
-
Slice and serve warm.
Notes
-
You can use pre-baked crusts or flatbreads for a faster version; reduce baking time accordingly.
-
Add thinly sliced apples, chopped nuts, or mini chocolate chips for variation.
-
For a dairy-free option, use plant-based butter and milk substitutes.
-
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
