Instructions

In a skillet, heat olive oil and cook sliced onions over low heat, stirring occasionally until deeply caramelized (about 20–25 minutes).

While the onions cook, season ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into patties or cook as crumbled beef in a skillet until browned and cooked through.

For the aioli, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and a portion of the cooled caramelized onions. Blend or stir until smooth and creamy.

Assemble burger bowls by layering lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onion, and cooked beef.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top and drizzle generously with caramelized onion aioli.

Notes
You can swap beef for turkey or chicken. Add avocado or crispy bacon for extra richness. The aioli can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
