These Asian beef lettuce wraps are fresh, flavorful, and fast. Ground beef is sautéed with ginger, garlic, and a savory-sweet sauce, then spooned into crisp lettuce leaves for a healthy, handheld meal. Perfect as a light dinner, party appetizer, or quick lunch option.
Ingredients

1 tablespoon sesame oil (or vegetable oil)

1 lb ground beef

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1/4 cup hoisin sauce

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon sriracha or chili garlic sauce (optional for heat)

1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)

1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped

2 green onions, chopped

1 head butter lettuce or romaine, leaves separated and washed

Instructions

Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned and crumbled, about 5–7 minutes.

Add garlic and ginger. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

Stir in hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sriracha (if using), and brown sugar. Cook for another 2–3 minutes until the sauce is slightly thickened.

Add chopped water chestnuts and green onions. Cook for another minute to combine.
